  • Ten Things I believe or think in politics

)The pro-life movement is catching up to the pro-choice movement and may very well in the near future succeed it(look at the recent case in South Dakota to ban abortion), I don't think it's necessarily a good thing, I still think a woman in the first trimester should have the right to an abortion, partial birth abortion is murder though.

)Alot of the opposition of George Bush is pure hate(not all, but alot).

)I think it's hard to decent aganist the Iraq War without having it implied or said that you don't support the troops(which is utter garbage).

)No president from Jimmy Carter to this current president has done anything about our dependence on foreign oil.

)The Terri Schiavo right to die case was used as pure politics, especially by the religious right(no Cari, I don't have anything people who are religious).

)The left is being taken over by the extreme-left and its hard to find balanced voices of moderation sometimes(maybe Joe Biden).

)The Democrats biggest strength is in their governors not congressmen or senators(Bill Richardson-NM, Tom Vilsack-Iowa, Mark Warner-former governor VA, etc).

)The wisest person in the Republican Party is John McCain(AZ), heck he could be president, only his age may be a factor.

)Jessica's Law needs to be passed in every state, we need to protect our kids.

)Most young people in politics(18-29 years old) tend to be liberal and have a high support for gay marriage(I think it should be left to the states).
