  • Well the Academy Awards or what I like to call the Vanity Awards will be later tonight. I will not be watching it, it serves no purpose to me whatsoever. The movies I don't care about Brokeback Mountain I never saw nor do I plan on seeing it. That's supposed to take best picture or maybe Crash(another movie I haven't seen) might pull off the upset. Who cares though. Some people won't watch it because the movies nominated aren't movies that serve the values of Middle America. The values in the movies aren't looked as values Middle America can relate to and they see it as an insult to them and won't watch it. Especially Brokeback Mountain having the gay element thrown into it. Plus they see it as an awards show where there is going to be alot of George Bush bashing by celebrities like George Clooney and so forth. By the way he is so overrated as an actor(I don't care if he was nominated for an award) and he definies vanity. Whatever floats your boat, that's not my reason. I just think the awards are more about the stars than the movies. What are you wearing and all that garbage, who cares what they're wearing we should care about the films and the work, but I've been so fed up with how the entertainment media views the stars and how the stars make a huge, well to put it bluntly ass of themselves. Until the awards shows start turning into award shows I will not be watching I promise you.
