How was everyone's spring break was it fun or were you a lackluster homebody like me and it was just like a week went by with nothing going on. I bet most of you went on vacation somewhere to get away from classes. Anyway however it went it's over and it's time to get back to classes fun huh(well that depends if your a nerd and love classes, which I bet some of you are
).
On to something else, a New Jersey high school was holding a mock trial for war crimes aganist George W. Bush. The high school girl who was the prosecutor felt while she didn't believe that Bush was guilty of this, but felt there was certainly enough evidence to warrant a trial. First off you all know where I stand on the Iraq War(at least I hope you do by know) but this is absurd. This mock trial is ludicrious I mean if you want to do something like list the reasons we went to war and why or why we shouldn't do it based on that then fine, but this goes beyond it. The high school needs to get back to reality and the teachers need to earn there money and teach.
With this South Dakota ban on abortion, do you think this will lead to a change in Roe vs Wade(there also thinking about it in Mississippi)? To be fair South Dakota is very conservative and there is only one abortion clinic in the whole state. The chances of overturning it are probably 50/50, with two new supreme court nominees already replaced with John Roberts and Samuel Alito you don't know if one of them voted for it or both would vote to overturn it that ultimately would be the deciding factor. If overturned it would be left up to the states and the rhetoric also between this issue would as well. It could be a key issue in the upcoming 2006 primaries. Just my opinion I think it would be a bad thing if it was overturned, yeah I'm pro-choice(for the first trimester) but the debate between the pro-choice people and pro-life is bad enough as it is, with this it would become a civil war.

I was just getting tired of certain people constantly lying to their "best friend" (who they want to move back home to be closer to) about things that are pretty major. We all know I understand missing your family, but I get tired of people constantly bitching about wishing they were home just because God forbid they had a weekend where people were too busy for them. I hate people who are still stuck in high school and refuse to accept that they are in college and will have to grow up and deal with the real world.
