  • I can't believe people sometimes, especially people online(not anyone on Xanga).  Someone on Myspace messaged me a week ago and asked if I could be there friend and told me about them. They wanted a response to there message from me just to be sure. They were so intrigued by my profile that they were interested in being my friend on Myspace. Well I messaged the person the same day and sent out a friend request so I figure I automatically would get a response at least within a day or so. But nothing, nada. I think my mistake was telling her in the message that we do have some differences between each other and I listed like three or four. I should of just thanked her(which I did) and kept it short then send out the friend request. None of this going into more detail about myself. I hate it, I really do. You know you think you could trust people, I guess not. What pisses me off the most is, the person was intrigued by my profile and then disses me. I will tell most people online right off the bat I am a shy, quiet person, that is me I won't deny it. But to think someone holds it aganist you then that makes me question certain people because it doesn't also deny that I'm a good, decent person which also should be factored in as well.

  • Well 16 teams left in the NCAA college basketball tournament. All 4 #1 seeds(Duke, Connecticut, Memphis, and Villanova) are still alive, never has all 4 #1 seeds made it together to the final four, don't think it will happen this year. Most bets are the final game will be between Duke and Connecticut with Connecticut winning. I have no favorites in the tournament, though I did pick UCLA to face Connecticut in the final game with UCLA winning it all, so I go aganist slight conventional wisdom. You still have other top teams like Gonzaga, Texas, LSU, and Boston College left. College basketball may not be among my top sports(Major League Baseball and college football are) but they do have the best championship out there among any of the sports.

Also my Boston Red Sox will start their season soon(minus Johnny Damon who went to the Yankees, god I can't stand them). Anyway they still have the one-two punch of David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez and they did pick up young phenom A.J. Burnett from the Florida Marlins to help there starting pitching, there middle relief looks solid, with some questions with closer with Keith Foulke. It's still hard to tell whether Coco Crisp can do an adequate job in replacing Damon as their leadoff hitter, and the starting pitching while strong does have a couple of question marks, in David Wells and Curt Schilling's injuries and plus their in their 40s. Hopefully everything will work out and it will be a great '06 for my Sox or maybe not. But no doubt they'll be a contender like always. Ok, I know I probably bored you out of your mine talking about sports like that's really something that's engaging, we'll pretend for me that it is anyway LOL.

  • Well today's the three year anniversary of the Iraq War. Considering the strong feelings you either think we're failing there with our soldiers dying and you see no point in us being there and think we should get out or you think we're making incredible success with three record breaking elections, schools being built, and people who are no longer oppressed and freedom is reigning. An Iraqi official says we're in a civil war, while some U.S. commanders like Peter Pace don't believe so. Just my opinion at some point the Iraqis are going to have to establish a government we can't be there forever, while some progress in terms of Iraqis fighting for their freedom has been seen theres still a long, long way to go and at some point its got to be them and not us. We can't leave now of course, but if some of these problems don't get resolved then you just wonder is any of this is worth it, I go to the latter but not some of the postitive, so it's all in how you see it.

How many of you can't stand Tori Spelling? I can't. You know even though Beverly Hills, 90210 was my favorite show it was in no part thanks to her. She was recognized alot than maybe some of the others is because her last name is Spelling, if it was Smith, she would just be some ordinary semi-famous actor who can't act. But she isn't, she was more famous because her daddy ran the show. Please I liked Jennie Garth, Tiffani-Amber Thiessan, Luke Perry, and others, but her no way. In fact if she was off the show it would of been better. She has no acting ability whatsoever and she may continue to get shows like this new VH1 reality show but it's not for her acting, it's for her last name. Of course that's just my opinion.

  • How was everyone's spring break was it fun or were you a lackluster homebody like me and it was just like a week went by with nothing going on. I bet most of you went on vacation somewhere to get away from classes. Anyway however it went it's over and it's time to get back to classes fun huh(well that depends if your a nerd and love classes, which I bet some of you are).

On to something else, a New Jersey high school was holding a mock trial for war crimes aganist George W. Bush. The high school girl who was the prosecutor felt while she didn't believe that Bush was guilty of this, but felt there was certainly enough evidence to warrant a trial. First off you all know where I stand on the Iraq War(at least I hope you do by know) but this is absurd. This mock trial is ludicrious I mean if you want to do something like list the reasons we went to war and why or why we shouldn't do it based on that then fine, but this goes beyond it. The high school needs to get back to reality and the teachers need to earn there money and teach.

With this South Dakota ban on abortion, do you think this will lead to a change in Roe vs Wade(there also thinking about it in Mississippi)? To be fair South Dakota is very conservative and there is only one abortion clinic in the whole state. The chances of overturning it are probably 50/50, with two new supreme court nominees already replaced with John Roberts and Samuel Alito you don't know if one of them voted for it or both would vote to overturn it that ultimately would be the deciding factor.  If overturned it would be left up to the states and the rhetoric also between this issue would as well. It could be a key issue in the upcoming 2006 primaries. Just my opinion I think it would be a bad thing if it was overturned, yeah I'm pro-choice(for the first trimester) but the debate between the pro-choice people and pro-life is bad enough as it is, with this it would become a civil war.

  • Well the Academy Awards or what I like to call the Vanity Awards will be later tonight. I will not be watching it, it serves no purpose to me whatsoever. The movies I don't care about Brokeback Mountain I never saw nor do I plan on seeing it. That's supposed to take best picture or maybe Crash(another movie I haven't seen) might pull off the upset. Who cares though. Some people won't watch it because the movies nominated aren't movies that serve the values of Middle America. The values in the movies aren't looked as values Middle America can relate to and they see it as an insult to them and won't watch it. Especially Brokeback Mountain having the gay element thrown into it. Plus they see it as an awards show where there is going to be alot of George Bush bashing by celebrities like George Clooney and so forth. By the way he is so overrated as an actor(I don't care if he was nominated for an award) and he definies vanity. Whatever floats your boat, that's not my reason. I just think the awards are more about the stars than the movies. What are you wearing and all that garbage, who cares what they're wearing we should care about the films and the work, but I've been so fed up with how the entertainment media views the stars and how the stars make a huge, well to put it bluntly ass of themselves. Until the awards shows start turning into award shows I will not be watching I promise you.

  • Ten Things I believe or think in politics

1)The pro-life movement is catching up to the pro-choice movement and may very well in the near future succeed it(look at the recent case in South Dakota to ban abortion), I don't think it's necessarily a good thing, I still think a woman in the first trimester should have the right to an abortion, partial birth abortion is murder though.

2)Alot of the opposition of George Bush is pure hate(not all, but alot).

3)I think it's hard to decent aganist the Iraq War without having it implied or said that you don't support the troops(which is utter garbage).

4)No president from Jimmy Carter to this current president has done anything about our dependence on foreign oil.

5)The Terri Schiavo right to die case was used as pure politics, especially by the religious right(no Cari, I don't have anything people who are religious).

6)The left is being taken over by the extreme-left and its hard to find balanced voices of moderation sometimes(maybe Joe Biden).

7)The Democrats biggest strength is in their governors not congressmen or senators(Bill Richardson-NM, Tom Vilsack-Iowa, Mark Warner-former governor VA, etc).

8)The wisest person in the Republican Party is John McCain(AZ), heck he could be president, only his age may be a factor.

9)Jessica's Law needs to be passed in every state, we need to protect our kids.

10)Most young people in politics(18-29 years old) tend to be liberal and have a high support for gay marriage(I think it should be left to the states).

  • Hey not much going on, just thought I'd do one of my questionarres. I'm fine though, I'm just going through the motions with classes and everything.

1)Mardi Gras is coming are you one of those people who would flash your breasts in front of the ravid crowd there?

A)No way, I'm just there to observe and take it in let some other girl do that

B)Of course, I love the attention it gives and besides I'm not shy.

C)I'm not sure, I'll have to see when I get there.

2)How much time do you spend talking to your friends or close up on the phone?

A)I love to talk a very long time, you'd have to cut my arm off to get me off the phone.

B)I talk for a long time but I don't go overboard.

C)I talk for a short amount of time, I like to keep the conversations very quick.

3)How much of you has changed from who you are right now to who you were when you were young?

4)If you had a chance to meet one or two famous people who are they?

5)If you had to choose one person (in politics, entertainment, sports, etc) that you can't stand who are they(there maybe more than one, but choose one out the group)?

    My answers

1)doesn't apply to me  2)C   3)For the most part I'm the same, I'm still very shy around people and quiet(I've become somewhat more talkative especially in politics). But I'm still a nice decent person as I've always been(I hope so anyway).   4)Bill Clinton(well duh, I think all of us on Xanga knew that already) and Ashley Judd, she's beautiful, smart, good actress, and sassy as well.   5)Britney Spears, she's corrupted America's youth ever since she was 17 and the self-centered entertainment media love her anyway.

  • I saw Date Movie tonight it's a take off on romantic movies. It was good, it had some gross-out humor some of it was interesting. I would give it a B. If it were me I would of changed the ending where at the last minute the guy instead of marrying the red head Julie(Alyson Hannigan) would of married the hot blonde who was the guys best man. They could of done something weirdly comedic at the last minute at the wedding but decided to go as is. All in all the movie was ok. Though I hate it when people talk or make noises throughout the movie. It was a packed theatre and it did have alot of teenagers so maybe I should of known they would of made noises, but still you still want to listen to what the movie is. Just an observation. Since I'm taking a World Politics class I figure I might see the new release a documentary on the longstanding wars we have been through called "Why We Fight". I usually wouldn't be in to something like that, but it would be nice to know the history of wars from the Afghan War to others. On a scale of 1-10 in terms of understanding past wars I would come in at a 2.  So I might go ahead and see it. I understand much better national politics and can make much better arguments.

I sometimes envy how good I have it down hear. I hear about blizzards and snow and freezing temperatures in the north and say how do people drive in the snow, trying to make sure your in the correct lane(because the snow is covering both lanes) I couldn't do it. Plus I like the temperatures we get down here and yes I know about the hurricanes but just because it's been a mess down here for the past two years doesn't mean we're going to get hit every year. You can guarantee heavy snow and blizzards up in the northeast and midwest every year that I couldn't put with but that's just me. You people who live there probably are used to it and don't mine. I also don't have to mention how fun it is down here compared to other places but I won't go into that today. Ok, I'm acting a bit smug but it's nothing personal. Take care.

  • Gotta love Britney Spears right, way wrong!!  I am not a fan of hers and what she did recently certainly solidifies it. I think we've all seen the photos of young Britney driving away in her vehicile with her baby on her lap, we'll all I say is what could she be thinking! She drove in her vehicle two miles with baby in one hand on her lap and steering the wheel in the other. Britney defends her actions by saying, "I was terrified that this time the physically agressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger," "I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us," "I love my child and would do anything to protect him." Do you buy her excuse?  I understand that the paparazzi is vicious and especially with a famous star like Spears they want to get any picture of you at any time. But doesn't the safety of the baby come first. I mean if that's true why don't you ask your brother(who was the other passenger) to drive the car and you can sit in the backseat with the baby. But honestly her reason is weak, she wasn't even wearing a seat belt and she didn't strap the baby in the car seat in the back seat. Suppose she would of been clipped or rear-ended by another car, the airbag would of been deployed and it would of killed the baby. Hello does that register to her. Anyhow people can say she's young and it's no big deal, but to me she should hold some accountablity. Some signs of "I was wrong to do this" would help but I doubt she'll ever say anything like that.
